Hugger Comfort

Fed up with seeing my loved ones suffer from chronic pain and illnesses, I wanted to get them a wearable hot water bottle because it was painful watching them pick up and put down their hot water bottles and heat packs constantly throughout the day whenever they wanted to do anything. When I ordered one, I was shocked at how bad the quality and design were. I thought, this is such a good idea, but my loved ones deserved so much better. So I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I made some prototypes from old towels (they looked awful), but when they were done, I’m not exaggerating when I say my girlfriend, mum, and sister wore their Hot Huggers every day.

It was amazing to see how this early stage Hot Hugger transformed their lives, as they were able to easily and comfortably manage their pain. After testing 160+ fabrics and making 39 prototypes, the design was finally done. A lot of thought and time went into creating the best possible design and using the best materials because I really wanted people to get something they truly loved and enjoyed using.
